EFFECT OF DIFFERENT HERBAL DRUGS FOR BRAIN TONIC USE IN MENTAL DISORDER
Abstract
This article explores the use of herbal remedies for brain health and mental well-being, emphasizing their historical significance and modern applications. It highlights traditional treatments for depression and anxiety, explaining their differences, overlapping symptoms, and the challenges of treatment-resistant cases. Depression, often marked by persistent sadness, and anxiety, characterized by excessive worry, can co-occur, complicating diagnosis and treatment. The article focuses on herbal brain tonics, plant-based formulations believed to enhance cognitive function, memory, and mental clarity. Common herbs include Borago Officinalis Linn, Santalum Album Linn, and Coriandrum Borago Officinalis, available as teas, capsules, or liquid extracts. These tonics are typically used alongside conventional treatments, not as replacements, with a strong recommendation to consult healthcare professionals to avoid adverse effects or interactions. Additionally, specific herbal tonics and their benefits are detailed, such as Roghan-e-Badam Sheerin for memory enhancement and Khamira Gaozaban Amberi for mental vigilance. The study emphasizes that while herbal remedies show promise, effectiveness varies, and thorough understanding and cautious use are essential for addressing mental disorders, including stress, anxiety, and depression.
